We are a non-profit organization that provides instruction, teacher training and chess supplies to schools and other community based organizations. The executive director of C.H.E.S.S. is Steve Lampkin. Steve has a Certificate in Chess and Education from the University of Texas at Dallas, with over 13 years experience teaching chess. He was responsible for the development and implementation of a curriculum based chess program in the North Tonawanda, NY Public Schools.
